The Sunday Night Heat Workrate Report
A weekly look at what did and didn't work on Sunday Night Heat by Phil Rippa

This will be quick and really painful

What Worked

I am really interested in the J.O.B. Squad vs. Brood feud as long as it features just Al Snow, Bob Holly and Scorpio. No Duane Gill. No Blue Meanie. No PoopaNova. No just the guys who can actually wrestle.

Blue Meanie: The Idea. Hey it's Philly. Perfect time to bring him out. Plus, it was a surprise on Heat. That almost never happens.

For the first time in the history of Heat (or at least a really long time), Sable was nowhere to be found.

What Didn't Work

Blue Meanie: The Execution: Well, Meanie can't exactly wrestle. He blow the run in as he wanted to hit a superkick but instead stood around for like 10 seconds before doing anything. Its also really hard to have a convincing brawl when you have to keep pulling up your pants.

Jim Cornette In. Jim Ross Out.

Kane and Jeff Jarrett did a whole lot of EXPOSING THE BUSINESS. Debra McMichael did a whole lot of EXPOSING HER BREASTS.

Whoever had THE PEN decided to let the Oddities get some time on THE STICK. I know some 4-year-olds with a better grasp of the English language than Luna and Kurrigan.

You know if Marc Henry broke out in a stirring redition of "Chocolate Salty Balls" then I would be all for this whole date with Chyna thing. But it isn't going to happen.

Val Venis and the Godfather. Excuse me Supply and Demand, wrestle the Headbangers. Then the Oddities make their second appearance on the show. Hey, you go in this portion of the report and like it.

The Undertaker and Steve Austin take up time that could have been used to let the Hardy Boys wrestle.

Mankind wrestles in Philadelphia and doesn't one single crazy thing. Mick deserves a break but this was neither the time nor the place.

The McMahons and the New Age Outlaws mingle amongst themselves. I guess this what one of those NAMBLA meetings looks like.
