The Sunday Night Heat Workrate Report
A weekly look at what did and didn't work
on Sunday Night Heat by Phil Schneider
Sunday, September 27th, 1998
The Ripper was out at the Player's Ball so he
missed Heat.
What Worked
The Hardy
Boys are from my absolute favorite U.S. league OMEGA, Men's Teiho and Shoichi
Funaki are from my two absolute favorite Japanese leagues, Michinoku Pro
and BattleArts respectively. So of course I marked out like a monkey for
this match. Jeff Hardy does the ABSOLUTELY FUCKING CRAZY assisted tope-con-hilo
to nothing, of course I have seen him do even crazier stuff in front of
130 people so I guess this didn't surprise me. They did all their cool
double teams, while Funaki and Teiho sold like good rudos. Hardy Boyz (god
that is a dumb special spelling, plus get new pants boys) get the win,
if they make this a feud (which it looks like the are doing) I will actually
starting digging the non-Foley parts of the WWF.
What Didn't Work
The Harris
twins and their mismatched titties beat up on Billy Gunn. Paul Ellering
is nothing now. Billy Gunn ain't good, don't believe the hype.
Call
him Golga, call him John Tenta, call him Earthquake, call him Shark just
don't call his fat ass late for dinner. The Headbangers pulled Royce Profit's
pants down exposing his naked ass to a bunch of fresh faced kids who just
wanted to see Masato Tanaka live, during the grease fire at a strip club
that was the MCW show. Thus they have earned my undying hatred. Luckly
they suck as wrestlers so hating them doesn't hurt so much.
There
was a bunch of other Vince/Undertaker/Kane/Stone Cold crap but I don't
give a shit about that, so I wasn't paying much attention. Hey that Hardy
Boyz match ruled!!
